Terms of Service

Last updated: July 26, 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using CareerKit at carrerkit.io (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service. We may update these terms at any time; continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.

2. What the Service is

CareerKit is a collection of free, AI-powered career tools — resume and ATS helpers, LinkedIn writing tools, interview prep, salary research, and more. The Service is free to use, requires no account and no login, and is provided on an "as is" basis. To keep it sustainable and free, each tool has a daily usage limit per IP address.

3. No accounts, no payment

There is no registration, no subscription, and no payment. We don't collect names, emails, passwords, or billing information. You may simply open a tool and use it. See our Privacy Policy for exactly what limited data we log.

4. Your content

You keep full ownership of anything you type in and anything the tools generate for you. We do not store the text you enter; it is sent to our AI provider to produce your result and is not saved to our systems (see the Privacy Policy).

You are responsible for ensuring the content you enter and the way you use the output don't violate any law or third-party right. Don't paste other people's confidential information.

5. AI-generated content

The tools use Google's Gemini AI. You acknowledge that:

  • AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, or unsuitable for your purpose.
  • You are solely responsible for reviewing and editing any output before you use or publish it.
  • The output is not professional advice — not legal, financial, medical, or career advice. For decisions that matter, consult a qualified professional.
  • The text you enter is processed by Google's infrastructure under Google's terms.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulation.
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or programmatically extract data from the platform.
  • Circumvent, disable, or overload the rate limits (for example via automated requests, proxies, or rotating IPs).
  • Upload malicious code or otherwise attempt to disrupt or degrade the Service.
  • Impersonate any person or entity.
  • Use the Service to generate spam, harassing, deceptive, or otherwise harmful content.

We may rate-limit, block, or restrict access to anyone who abuses the Service, at our discretion.

7. Intellectual property

The CareerKit platform — its design, code, copy, and branding — is owned by CareerKit and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of the platform itself without our written permission. (This does not affect your ownership of the content you generate for your own use.)

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any given time, or that AI output will be accurate or fit for any particular purpose. You use the Service at your own risk.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CareerKit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service — including loss of data, loss of profits, or lost opportunities. Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed one hundred US dollars (USD $100).

10. Availability & changes

The Service is free and offered at our discretion. We may modify, limit, or discontinue any tool or the whole Service at any time without notice or liability. Daily limits and available tools may change.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of CareerKit is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be handled by the competent courts of that jurisdiction, except where mandatory local law provides otherwise.
