Free usage limits
Every CareerKit tool is free and needs no account. To keep it that way, each tool has a generous daily limit per IP address — that's the only cap, and it's how we keep the AI sustainable without ads, a paywall, or a "free tier" that nags you to upgrade. Here's exactly what the limits are.
Resets every 24 hours
Hit a limit? It's back the next day — no action needed.
Per IP, not per account
There are no accounts. Limits are counted per network address.
No way to "pay to remove"
There's no upgrade — the free limits are the whole product.
5 uses / day
9 toolsThe lighter tools — five runs every 24 hours.
3 uses / day

2 uses / day
1 toolThe heaviest tool — tailoring a full resume — is capped a little tighter.
~2 interviews / day
1 toolCounted per answer (about 15 turns), which is roughly one to two full mock interviews a day.
Shared with Mock Interview
1 toolUses the same daily budget as the text Mock Interview — voice is a different way in, not a separate quota.
What happens when you hit a limit
The tool shows a short "daily limit reached — try again tomorrow" note. Nothing breaks, and there's nothing to buy — the limit simply resets 24 hours later. If you need more, spreading your work across a day or two is usually plenty.
"High demand" is different from your limit
Occasionally a tool will ask you to try again in a moment— that's the underlying AI briefly at capacity, not your daily limit. It usually clears within seconds; just run it again.
Why there are limits at all
Every generation costs real compute. Daily limits keep CareerKit free and open to everyone without a login, and stop automated abuse from burning the shared budget. See how we handle your data in the privacy policy.
